These intelligent tree-dwellers are clinging to survival

The forests of Borneo were once teeming with orangutans. They are the ultimate forest gardeners, spreading seeds to help maintain the forest ecosystem. 


But these magnificent primates are now under threat of extinction. 


In the last 40 years, deforestation and unsustainable logging has destroyed 35% of their forest homes, thanks to demand for paper, timber and palm oil products. Humans are also a danger, poaching these great apes for the pet trade, food, or retaliation when they migrate to agricultural areas and destroy crops. 

 

Adopting an orangutan today can help protect them from extinction. Your monthly donations will symbolise your support for conservation and animal advocacy, and ensure orangutans remain part of our environment forever.

You will be sent a confirmation email, but please check your junk folder if you cannot locate it. If you donated by direct debit please allow up to five working days for your payment to clear before your receipt is issued.

You should expect to receive your pack in 10 – 15 business days, however there may be a slight delay in delivery due to external factors. During Christmas, we will waive the 5-day clearance period for direct debit and make an extra special effort to ensure that your pack arrives by Christmas Day if you order by 15 Dec (excl WA, NT, intl).
