Extreme weather events are pushing Australian wildlife towards extinction

Black-flanked rock wallaby joey

Every year, the Australian summer threatens to bring extreme weather events such as heatwaves, floods and massive bush fires that claim people's lives and destroy their homes. But the impacts of these devastating events aren't just restricted to humans. Our native wildlife and their habitat is also affected. Some species have even been pushed to the verge of extinction.

By donating to the WWF Wildlife Emergency Fund you can help us be there for Australian species when they need us most, by ensuring rescue and recovery teams are ready to respond as soon as an emergency happens.

YOUR DONATION COULD HELP:

  • PROVIDE AID TO EMERGENCY WILDLIFE CARERS
in the aftermath of severe cyclones and bush fires
  • PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING OF WILDLIFE
    to help affected animals recover
  • SEND OUT SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS
to locate surviving wildlife and provide for their care
  • SUPPORT WILDLIFE CARERS TO TREAT SICK ANIMALS
aiding their recovery for a future return to the wild
  • RESTORE HABITAT AND INSTALL TRACKING EQUIPMENT
to monitor the health and population of recovering species
